Syed Amjad Hussain is a poet, author, and independent research scholar specializing in Sufism, Islam, and the cultural history of Bihar. He is the author of The Eternals of Bihar (2023) and Akhtar Orenvi: Bihar Mein Urdu Sahitya Ke Nirmata (2023), both published by Notion Press. His third book, Bihar Aur Sufivad (2025), published by Rajmangal Prakashan, received widespread recognition and became a bestseller for its comprehensive documentation of Bihar's Sufi heritage.
He completed his graduation from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, in 2026 and is pursuing a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History from Lovely Professional University, Punjab. His research focuses on Sufism, Islamic intellectual traditions, Urdu literature, and the historical legacy of South Asia.
