Lia Katherine Ryan

Lia Katherine Ryan is an American actor, writer, filmmaker, and singer. Her work spans independent film, new media, theatre, voiceover, and docudrama, with a particular interest in emotionally grounded stories about complex women, family, memory, survival, and the pressure points where ordinary lives begin to fracture. Ryan began her career in Boston, where she worked as an actor, teaching artist, and arts administrator with organizations including Company One, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, Fort Point Theatre Channel, Watertown Children’s Theatre, and North Shore Music Theatre. From 2010 to 2017, she served as artistic director of Kid Co Theatre, directing productions and developing young performers. She acts, writes, and produces character-driven film and television projects through the production company she runs with her husband, actor and filmmaker Colin Patrick Ryan.
