Ryan Paul James was born in Tampa, Florida, USA. He is a writer and producer, known for The Comeback Kids (2014), The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and The Love Brokers. He has been married to Melissa Disney since October 15, 2010.

He has written more than 12 plays which have been produced at theaters all over the world. Night Stories (2006) Lost In Radioland (2009) The World's Worst Play, Ever (2010) Desperately Seeking Love (2012) What's So Funny? (2013) Abstraction (2015) Stay Tuned (2016) The Adventures of Sheerluck Homes - One Act (2018) F**k Happily Ever After (2019) Little Christmas Miracles (2021).

He was a radio personality in both Tampa and Los Angeles.

Ryan Paul James is married to actress Melissa Disney. They married in San Diego, CA. October 15, 2010.

Ryan has won many script contests for both his pilots and screenplays.

Theatre critic Sue Pasco said - "Ryan Paul James is an American playwright to watch" after seeing his play Desperately Seeking Love. Another theatre critic called him the Neil Simon of his generation after seeing "What's So Funny?. This review got the attention of Neil Simon's manager and he signed Ryan a week later.
