Biography

Ana Soares Coelho is a director, producer, film editor, and photographer.

Over the years she has worked at the photographic level the theme of the body and performance.

From 2016 to 2024, she worked with director Edgar Pêra at Rodrigo Areias’s production company Bando A Parte, assisting in production, editing, and post-production. She collaborated on films such as Magnetick Pathways, The Spicy Man - Dialogues With Pepper, Kino-Pop Archives, Kino-Performance Archives, The Nothingness Club, and Telepathic Letters.

From 2017 to 2024, she also worked at Moopie Film Company as a production director and assistant director, producing videos for artists such as Loony Johnson, Cef, João Só, Samuel Úria, and Sérgio Godinho. In 2021, she produced David Wolf’s first short film Américo, in which she also appeared as an actress.

In 2024, she directed and wrote her first film, Nocturnal Cheetah. In 2025, she co-directed the short film O Filho da Cartomante with Pedro Patrocínio.

Since 2025, she has continued to collaborate with Bando À Parte as an assistant director and production assistant, working on projects such as the series Daqui Houve Resistência and the feature film Chico.
