Kathy Janet Wieczorek is a filmmaker and artist based in London, UK. Drawing from her studies in Art History, Media and Film Studies, she connects theoretical with practical approaches. Her work highlights the narrow line between fiction and non-fiction, surrealism and questions the position of an individual within society. Understanding film as an art form, she strives to find new ways to convey narratives and aims to challenge the possibilities of filmmaking. Some of Kathy's influences are Akira Kurosawa (Yojimbo), Takeshi Kitano (Sonatine), Chris Marker (La Jetée), and Satoshi Kon (Paranoia Agent). She also finds inspiration in many other media, including Fine Arts, video games, and graphic novels.
