- Manoj Tripathi is an Indian writer, director, and producer known for his strong storytelling, socially driven themes, and cinematic vision. As a filmmaker, he is committed to creating powerful, emotional, and thought-provoking content across films, web series, and television.
He began his journey in the entertainment industry working extensively in television, where he gained hands-on experience across multiple roles, including Assistant Director, Associate Director, and Executive Producer. His notable television credits include Qubool Hai (Zee TV), Yeh Hai Aashiqui (Bindass), Saubhagyawati Bhaw (Sony TV), and Hum Hain Bajrangi (Big Magic), among others.
Manoj made his directorial debut with the Hindi feature film Curfew (2018), a socially charged thriller that reflects his inclination toward intense and meaningful narratives. He gained further recognition with the critically appreciated short film Target Under Trial, which highlighted his ability to handle gripping subjects with realism and depth.
In 2025, he completed Dabish, a crime suspense film that continues his exploration of themes such as justice, power, and social conflict. The film is currently in the release pipeline.
Born and raised in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Manoj studied English Literature at Gorakhpur University before moving to Delhi and Mumbai to pursue formal training in filmmaking. His academic background and real-world industry experience have shaped his distinctive voice as a storyteller.
In addition to film and television, Manoj has also directed several stage plays, including Kathputli, Matribhoomi, Matribhasha, and 2nd Inning, each reflecting social issues and human emotions.
