- Kalinga Jaysingh was born in Bhubaneswar to Batakrushna Jaysingh and Anupama Das. He also has an elder sister, Barsha Jaysingh. He started his film career after graduating from Maharishi College. Meanwhile he studied film editing at Srfti, Kolkata. At that time the famous film editor Shri Shyamal Karmakar was his teacher. Mr. Jaysingh is now working as a director, editor and composer in Odisha.
