Alena Glavatskikh

Glavatskikh Alena was born in Glazov, Udmurt Republic, Russia, and grew up in the city of Kostroma. Her mother is a journalist who has worked in local news for many years. Alena studied architecture at the Kostroma State Agricultural Academy and received a bachelor's degree.
After university, she moved to Yekaterinburg, where she met Kirill Strazhnikov, founder of the VFX studio Ural Digital, who is now a part of the team at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) in Canada. Her first project involved layout, camera tracking, lighting, and animating aircraft for an unreleased title. Her breakthrough came with the sci-fi series Kiberderevnya (Cyberfarm), where she worked in a full pipeline environment. This experience sparked her interest in team management and workflow automation.
As of 2025, Alena lives in Tbilisi, Georgia, and works at T-VFX. While she is passionate about all areas of VFX, she is especially drawn to crowd systems and pipeline efficiency. In her free time, she volunteers to help stray dogs and enjoys hiking in the mountains.
