  • Megan Jensen was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, they are a film major and art photography minor at Syracuse University. Megan is working as an independent director of photography, producer, and director. Their first short film, Small Talk (2024), about a high schooler, Daisy, who thinks that gym class is the perfect setting for catching her crush's attention, is in consideration for a variety of festivals all over the world. Megan was the co-director with Sofia Dixon, director of photography, producer, editor, and colorist on this almost no-budget film made in collaboration with peers and friends in student-run comedy show 'Live From Studio B' on OTN. Megan then moved onto producing The Act of Cutting Away, written and directed by Hayden Celentano, about Roland, whose fading patience with the health-care system and options for his top surgery are diminishing, he finds evidence that one of his classmates has been conducting illegal dissections. Megan was also the director of photography and co-editor on this project which is set to release mid 2025 and enter the festival circuit. In the fall of 2024, Megan was the director of photography and editor, for Wine4Jesus, written and directed by Taylor Parris Benjamin, about a group of queer catholic high schoolers who decide to break into the church to steal the communion wine for a grad party. The film is in post-production and is set to release in the fall of 2025. At the same time, Megan also produced five other films including, Vanishing Point (2025) and The Wren in the Wood (2025) as well as worked on several other films as a gaffer or grip. In the spring of 2025, they studied abroad at FAMU international in the Czech Republic where they made Preparing for the Worst (2025) with Taylor Parris Benjamin, Campbell Ragins, and Liza Lindblom.
