Teresa Huang(I)

Teresa Huang (she/her) is a Taiwanese American writer/producer who was raised to be a doctor but born to be an artist. After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and launching a successful career in tech, followed by a thriving career as a professional actor, she added television writing and producing to her list of accomplishments. Known for her ability to blend complex, action-oriented narratives with deep character development, Teresa was a Supervising Producer for Netflix's live-action adaptation of the Peabody Award-winning series AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER and is currently a Co-Executive Producer on ALIEN: EARTH (FX) and FAR CRY (FX) under acclaimed series creator, showrunner, and director Noah Hawley. Her other television credits include MACGYVER (CBS), SEAL TEAM (CBS), and TOM SWIFT (The CW). She is a graduate of the CBS Writers Mentoring Program, the CAPE New Writers Fellowship, and was named a WGA TV Writer Access Project honoree.

Teresa mentors emerging writers through the Paramount Writers Mentoring Program and teaches television writing at the East West Players, the nation’s longest-running Asian American theater. She is a member of the Board of the Directors for Los Angeles-based theater-producing collective Artists at Play and Boston-based educational theater company Theatre Espresso. As an actor, Teresa has performed on regional stages throughout New England and acted in over 50 episodes of episodic television, including recurring roles on CRIMINAL MINDS and GREY’S ANATOMY. Her superpowers include power napping, parallel parking, and spending too much money at farmer's markets.
