Rahul Roye

Rahul Roye (he/they) is a self-taught Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer known for crafting emotionally resonant films rooted in gender politics and queer feminism. Their directorial works 'Man & Wife' (2022) and 'A Lullaby for Yellow Roses' (2023) earned over 100 international nominations, including wins at Oscar-qualifying festivals. Roye's latest production, 'Jasmine That Blooms in Autumn' (2025), premiered at BFI and continues its global festival run. As a non-binary artist, Roye brings a bold, uncompromising queer gaze to contemporary Indian cinema.
