Biography

Sebastian Leda was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated with a B.F.A. in film from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Trysting (2001) was his undergraduate thesis. This film won several awards at numerous festivals, including a D.G.A. award, a Cine Golden Eagle, two Kodak grants and a student Emmy.

In 2002 Sebastian did a M.F.A. in film directing at the American Film Institute. After graduating, Sebastian joined al Punto Advertising as agency producer, where he oversaw the production of many campaigns for brands such as Pillsbury, Progresso, Universal Studios Hollywood and Del Taco.

In 2004 Sebastian joined Digital Post Services in Los Angeles, where he edited, color corrected, and supervised the post-production of feature films, documentaries, commercials and music videos.

In 2008 Sebastian formed ParanaFilms, a director driven Production Company specializing in the production of highly creative commercials for the Hispanic market.

Just one year later, he won a Gold Lion in Cannes for his work in the Argentina New Cinema, a first for the Hispanic market in the US. With those spots and the following campaigns he has also won a Silver Cannes Lion in 2014, FIAP awards in 2010, 2011 and 2014. Gold in Ojo de Iberoamerica as well as two The Cup awards among many others, becoming one of the most awarded production company in the US Hispanic market for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.

In recent years the company expanded to represent top directors from the iberoamerican market, including Pucho Mentasti, Armando Bo and Alex de la Iglesia.
