David James Willox

Born in Luton, England. David took up playing trombone at school and quickly became an avid musician with a deep passion for film music. He has played trombone in a variety of bands including the cult Luton based ska band Semi Skinned and Wisconsin based punk band The Brash Menagerie. In 2012 he emigrated to live in Wisconsin, USA and soon after began developing opportunities to score media and films. Starting in 2018 by composing short pieces for YouTuber Georg Rockall-Schmidt, TrekCast and other channels, before scoring his first independent films in 2021. David works closely with Washington State and Yakama nation filmmaker Tokala Tatum, Texas native Hugo Rodriguez and prolific New Jersey filmmaker Franklin Correa among many others. Creating vibrant, predominantly synth scores for films across all genres, encompassing a wide variety of musical genres and styles.
