Biography

Ritik Verma is a Mumbai based cinematographer, born and brought up from Chandigarh. He started his career in (2018) by Assisting Professional Wedding photographer & Cinematographer Kanwaljit Singh Bawa. While assisting on several photography projects for over 1 years, he grew curious and discovered his love for moving images. It was then that he decided to venture into cinematography. After a year in (2019), to further increase his knowledge and enhance his skills in the creative field, He went to Mr. Haninder Aujla, Steadicam Operator. showed him the path to success and taught him several things about the work, after that He Started as a light boy on film-sets, little he didn't know that I'll find not just my passion in photography but a life in that light. It is that light which has guided me in getting closer to the camera First as an intern. So, the way I see it, from a light boy to being a cinematographer isn't a journey but an enlightening & enriching the experience. He started his journey as Director of Photography, being mentored by leading cinematographers like Anuj Rakesh Dhawan, Shikhar Bhatnagar, Siddharth Dutta, Rahul Nayak, Hriday Gogoi & Jay Varia His on-set experiences in various capacities and production scales helped him deep dive into all things cinematography and refine his craft even further. Ritik Verma has built an impressive body of work, from feature films and commercials to music videos. In the past, Ritik Verma has also worked as the 3rd Assistant Cameraman for the much-lauded Bollywood film, "The CREW". on NETFLIX
