Biography

Lindsay Cox is one of Canada's preeminent and most respected showrunners, with an award-winning portfolio proficient in highly rated music specials, variety programming and internationally recognized award shows and live spectacles.

A passionately committed and celebrated leader, her multifaceted career highlights include; executive producing several scripted comedy endeavours and most recently, the pursuit of projects in documentary work. Additionally, Lindsay is highly recognized for her expert work in the production and creation of ambitious and technically inspiring live productions that showcase the world's best and brightest Artists.

As a showrunner, she has overseen and produced 18 editions of Canada's biggest night in music - The JUNO Awards as well as; The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration, an award-winning television event viewed by one in 3 Canadians nationally, and counts among her credits several philanthropic events including; Stronger Together, Canada's highest rated Canadian produced program, Young Artists for Haiti and Music Without Borders.

In 2017, Lindsay became a vital member of the team who created The Launch for CTV, bringing to life an original new format that aimed to reinvent the music television series genre, documenting what it takes to break a new artist and successfully launch their hit single. She has also produced multiple specials and variety series including; Canada Day 150! From Coast to Coast to Coast, Canada's New Year's Eve Countdown, Battle of the Blades and Canada's Walk of Fame among many others. Continuously adapting, her additional credits across various formats and genres include; Comedy (Never Ever Do This At Home, The Jon Dore Television Show), Game Shows (Deal or No Deal and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader), Sports (Stars on Ice, Pumped!), and Documentary (100 Years of Canadian Sports).

As an integral member of Insight Productions Senior Executive team, Lindsay strives to guide and shape Insight's long-term strategic planning including among her roles - international business development and sales. In addition to preparing for Season 6 of Battle of the Blades, set to air nationally October 15, 2020, Lindsay has just recently produced "Every Child Matters: Education through Reconciliation" - a documentary for the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation honouring Orange Shirt Day that aims to bring awareness to Canada's devastating history of Residential Schools and their impact on Indigenous Peoples.
