Former VP New Media at GAUMONT, Henri Magalon founded MAYBE MOVIES in 2003 with the goal to structure an independent and creative production company. Since Benjamin Renner's ERNEST & CÉLESTINE, César for Best Animated Film and nominated for the Oscars, Maybe Movies is specializing in animation and family films. Rémi Chayé's LONG WAY NORTH won the Audience Award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. ZOMBILLÉNIUM, directed by Arthur de Pins and Alexis Ducord, was in Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival and opened the Annecy and Bogota Film Festivals, before being nominated for the César. CALAMITY JANE, by Rémi Chayé, won the Cristal for Best Picture in Annecy and was nominated for a César and 3 Annie awards. Maybe Movies is currently producing FLEUR, Rémi's third feature. In Official Selection in Cannes, our new Animated Feature Film, LITTLE AMÉLIE OR THE CHARACTER OF RAIN directed by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han won the Audience Award in the Annecy Festival and is currently in French Theaters before its US release by Gkids in November 2025. The CGI 3D Action Comedy THE LEGENDARIES by Guillaume Ivernel is currently in post-production for a release by Pan Distribution in January 2026
