Kypros Petrakkidis is a Cyprus based camera and specialist movement operator working across feature films, television and commercial productions. His work spans camera operation, Steadicam, Ronin systems, aerial cinematography and vehicle based camera tracking. With a background in fine arts and multimedia, he developed a strong interest in visual storytelling, composition and the relationship between camera movement and performance.
His experience includes working with a range of cinema cameras and stabilization systems, collaborating closely with Directors of Photography, directors and camera departments to execute technically demanding and visually driven shots. He is particularly interested in specialized camera movement and filming in challenging environments, where preparation, physical coordination and technical precision are essential.
Alongside film and commercial work, Kypros has developed a strong interest in adventure cinematography, including climbing and mountain cinematography in exposed and high altitude environments. His work in these environments involves operating cameras on cliffs, vertical terrain and remote locations, with an emphasis on creating immersive images while working within the practical and safety demands of the environment.
