Robert Fyvolent
Robert Fyvolent is an Academy Award winning producer for "Summer of Soul (..Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)". His work on this film also earned a best producer award in the documentary category from the Producer's Guild of America, as well as a Grammy, BAFTA, Peabody, Independent Spirit Award, AFI, Critics Choice Documentary Award and the 2021 Sundance Grand Jury Prize and the Sundance Audience Award.

Fyvolent is an entertainment industry veteran who started his career working in the music business and earned a gold record for his work with the band 7A3 and producer Johnny Rivers on the motion picture Color's soundtrack.

Fyvolent began his career as a lawyer for The Walt Disney Company and Sony Pictures Entertainment. While at Sony, he worked in legal affairs for the home video division and later Screen Gems. Later as Head of Business and Legal Affairs for independent Newmarket Films, Robert worked on productions like "Memento", "Cruel Intentions", and "The Prestige", as well as on award worthy acquisitions such as "Whale Rider", "Monster", "Downfall", and the Sundance documentary "Audience Award Winner, "God Grew Tired of Us". His work at Newmarket also involved the theatrical distribution of "Passion of the Christ", the most successful independent US release of all time.

Fyvolent is a member of the WGA and was the original writer of the Greg Hoblit directed film, "Untraceable", staring Diane Lane and distributed by Lakeshore Entertainment and Sony Pictures.

Fyvolent produced Alice Gu's "Really Good Rejects" and was an Executive Producer on Oscar nominated director Evgeny Afineevsky's "Francesco" and "Freedom on Fire".

Fyvolent is a visiting professor at Tulane University and frequently speaks on panels and at entertainment events around the world, including Cannes, TIFF, and The Sundance Film Festival.
