J. R Hartigan

J. R. Hartigan is TV, film and theatre actor with a wide and eclectic range of talents and interests. He studied Theatre and Screenwriting at Palm Beach State College and is devoted to the life-long learning of acting and any number of other interests. For years J.R. has been taking weekly acting classes, Italian language classes, and fencing lessons. J.R. has also included a multitude of shorter courses, workshops and seminars for accents, stage combat, Shakespeare and any number of industry related subjects. He recently enrolled in The School of Rock to improve his guitar playing. After taking courses in audiobook narration and Voice Over, J.R. built his own home recording studio and has since recorded several audiobooks. J.R. was a master plumber, certified welder, pipefitter/steamfitter. He loves pizza and used his construction skills to build a wood-fired oven to pursue that passion. He tosses dough like a true pizzaiolo. J.R also built a treehouse where he houses the still, he uses to make single malt whisky and put his trade skills to further use building his backyard putting green to improve his golf skills. His art education was cut short by a stint in the U.S. Army, but he does occasionally draw in pencil and charcoal and he paints oil portraits. J.R. owns and enjoys driving sports cars and motorcycles. He also enjoys days out on the water sailing or kayaking.
