Benjamin Kirk Nielsen is a Danish cinematographer recognized for his ability to shape atmosphere and psychological tension into precise, character-driven imagery. A graduate of the AFI Conservatory’s Cinematography program (Class of 2014), he has built a reputation for crafting visually immersive films defined by atmosphere, emotional clarity, and narrative precision.

His work has premiered and been recognized at major international festivals. Watcher premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, where its atmospheric and psychologically exacting visual language drew critical attention. The Vile received the Best Horror award at Fantastic Fest in 2025, and his short film Slut won Best Cinematography at HollyShorts in 2015 - affirming his ability to elevate genre through visual control and tonal discipline.

In addition to his narrative work, Benjamin photographed the documentary Human Race, bringing a disciplined observational sensibility to nonfiction storytelling.
