Biography

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Mikey Bustos is a Filipino-Canadian YouTuber, vlogger, actor, singer, and comedian who has appeared on the reality television show Canadian Idol. He is also the owner of AntsCanada, a YouTube channel and accompanying online shop that specialize in ant-keeping, and currently resides in Cavite, Philippines.

As a child, Mikey grew up doing Canadian tv commercials, extra work in movies/tv series, and modeling for catalogues under Manhattan Agency (Mississauga, ON, Canada), and trained with Children's Television Studios (child acting program in Toronto, Canada). In 2003, Mikey placed 8th in the first season of Canadian Idol. He went on to perform as front act for the Pussycat Dolls (2006) and Christina Aguilera (2007) in the Philippines. In 2008, Mikey trained with acting coach Lewis Baumander (Lewis Baumander Acting Studio) in Toronto, Canada. When Mikey relocated to the Philippines to enter show business in 2012, he signed with GMA Network, under the management of GMA Artist Center for 2 yrs, starring and performing in a series of Philippine tv variety and comedy shows, films, and television commercials. In 2014-2015, Mikey became a talk show radio DJ on Magic 89.9 FM in Manila on the show Good Times with Mo, Mikey, and Sam. Today, Mikey is best known for his comedic Youtube videos, lifestyle vlogs, and cinematic ant keeping documentary videos which have acquired three Streamy Award nominations between the years 2019-2020.
