Kaylee Goncalves(2001-2022)
Kaylee Goncalves was a vibrant, ambitious, and deeply loved young woman who grew up in Rathdrum, Idaho. She was one of five siblings in a close-knit family, known for her adventurous spirit, strong will, and unwavering love for her friends and family.
Kaylee graduated from Lake City High School and went on to attend the University of Idaho, where she was majoring in general studies and set to graduate early in December 2022. She had already secured a job in Texas and was preparing for an exciting new chapter in her life. A member of the Alpha Phi sorority, she was admired for her drive, generosity, and ability to make others feel cared for.
She shared a lifelong friendship with Madison Mogen, whom she considered her "soulmate," and their bond was cherished by everyone around them. Kaylee was known for her sense of humor, confidence, and determination to pursue her dreams without fear.
Her life was tragically cut short at age 21, along with her best friend Madison Mogen, her roommate Xana Kernodle, and Xana's boyfriend Ethan Chapin, in an attack at their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho, in November 2022. Kaylee Goncalves is remembered as a bright light whose love, loyalty, and adventurous heart continue to inspire those who knew her.
