- [on her childhood] It was definitely not normal. I just wanted to be like my friends, stay at home, play ball and those types of things. Because of the success of "Let Me Be Your Angel", there were a lot of kids who were starting to pick on me, and I even had issues with some of the teachers, singling me out for a variety of reasons and making things hard for me.
- I wanted people to know that I'm not the same girl. For so long, I was broken. God put me back together again, so I am renewed.
- [on being called to ministry] What's weird to me now is, I would much rather speak than sing. That's why I know it's not me; it's God. I would much rather encourage people and talk about God, pray for and with people.
