Biography

Santa Rosa, California native, Steve Niel is truly a force of nature. Luckily for all of us Steve has chosen to use his talents for good rather than evil. Steve was naturally blessed with a magnetic personality, electrifying energy and tremendous charismatic appeal! His sense of humor is intoxicating, and his laugh offers hints of his mischievous nature. Steve's gifted ability to make us laugh has evolved into a well polished, unique and original craft: Comedy.

From his beginnings as the class clown to his work in TV and film, Steve has always had the ability to talk his way out of, or into, anything. For Steve, comedy is a lifestyle. With a natural acumen for acting Steve is a widely-respected, versatile instrument. He has performed a series of stand-up shows, emceed at various charity events and endeared himself to millions as the "Dodge Durango Guy"..."Can you say Hemi?"

Significant credits include a co-starring role on the WB's "Angel" and appearances on "The Sweet River Comedy Hour", "The Improv", "Second City" as well as "Studio Cafe Comedy Night" and several independent films. He starred and participated in the production of "Baggage", winner of the 48 Hour Film Project at the 2004 (SXSW) South-By South West Film Festival, he also had a supporting role in "Under The Same Moon", an official selection in the 2007 Sundance Film Festival which will be released theatrical in March 2008 by Fox Searchlight. Other projects include the production of two shorts entitled "Killer Name" and "Mattress" on behalf of his production company "How Dare Me Productions".

Balancing film, television, theater and production projects, Coaching, Steve Niel is a man who knows how to wear many hats! His eclectic influences certainly contribute to fueling steadfast dedication to his craft. An artist at heart, Steve is first and foremost an actor of great talents and artistic intuitions.
