Sushant Shelar

Sushant Shelar is an established Indian actor known for his work in the Marathi film and television industry. He began his career as a child artist in the television serial Mayur Pankh and has since built a diverse filmography spanning over two decades. He gained widespread recognition for his roles in popular films such as Duniyadari, Classmates, Vanshvel, Tu Hi Re, and Vijeta. In addition to his film work, Shelar is a prominent figure in Marathi television, appearing in serials like Ya Gojirwanya Gharat, Agnishikha, and Aabhalmaya. He also reached a broad audience as a contestant in the first season of Bigg Boss Marathi. On stage, he has performed in several notable Marathi plays, including Mr & Mrs Landage, Ekach Pyala, and Mi Nathuram Godse Boltoy. Beyond his acting roles, Shelar has taken on leadership positions within the industry. In 2022, he was elected as the president of the Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal, the apex body for Marathi cinema. His recent film projects include Raanti, Janma Runna, and the 2025 releases Jay Bhim Panther and Well Done Aai. He also made a notable return to television with the show Tujhya Rupacha Chandana, where he portrayed a police inspector. Sushant Shelar is active in social causes through the Shelar Mama Foundation and frequently participates in cultural events like the Chirayu Gudi Padwa celebrations. He is married to Sakshi Shelar, and the couple has a daughter.
