Biography

The Buckleys are a three-piece sibling band from Byron Bay, Australia. Signing with Chris Murphy's Petrol Records in 2019, the band earned the prestige of being the only other band on the label alongside INXS. Under Chris Murphy's wise tutelage, the band has released five singles from their debut album.

Their debut single, "Daydream," catapulted the trio into the limelight, scoring a #1 single at Australian Country radio in 2019, followed by the second single, "I'm Comin' For Ya (Love)," which reached #3 on the same chart. The Buckleys third single, "Money," reached #2, and "Breathe," reached #3. To date the band have amassed over 5.8M total global streams on their debut album, with over 1.3M locally and reached #18 on the ARIA Country chart. Their latest offering, "Woodstock69" is out now along with their Christmas classic remake of "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus".

In 2020, during the global pandemic, The Buckleys partnered with Live Nation for a World Virtual Tour, resulting in playing for over 5 million new fans around the world. The Buckleys were able to hone in on and sharpen their performance prowess by playing nearly 20 livestream performances along their Virtual Tour.

With a melding of Pop, Country, Americana, and Indie Rock, Daydream is an album filled with all the sun, sparkle and wide-eyed excitement that these young singer/songwriters embrace with open arms.

Lead singer, bass player and songwriter for the band, Sarah Buckley co-wrote their internationally acclaimed debut album "Daydream" which was described by Rolling Stone Magazine as a 'Masterclass in song writing'. Sarah was also credited as the co-writer of their hit single "Money," which was listed in American Songwriters' "Top 20 Songs of 2020".

Most recently, Sarah Buckley was the recipient of the 2021 APRA Professional Development Award & secured her first synch placement with a track airing during a David Attenborough BBC documentary.

Additionally, Sarah co-wrote hits for Caitlyn Shadbolt including "Edge of The Earth" and "Two Lost Lovers" & has a song on Felicity Urquhart's 2019 CMAA Album of The Year, she has achieved 3 x Golden Guitar Awards nominations for "Daydream".

2022 is gearing up to be their best year yet with the rising stars performing their first headline show at Moonshiners in Tamworth during the 50th anniversary of the Country Music Festival. The band will also appear on major festival line-ups including Byron Bay's iconic Bluesfest, the Mundi Mundi Bash and Savannah in the Round with international artist, Brad Paisley
