Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Tingting Lyu is a director and producer based in Los Angeles whose work spans narrative film, commercial production, vertical drama, and emerging media. She holds an MFA in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and a B.A. in Digital Media Art(Film Production) from the Communication University of China. Her narrative work includes the award-winning shorts Victor’s Secret and A Perfect Slice. Victor’s Secret received Best Comedy Short, and Best Acting Duo at the Independent Shorts Awards, while A Perfect Slice received semifinalist recognition at the Paris International Short Festival, Dublin World Film Festival, and Austin International Art Festival. Lyu also co-produced The Things We Keep, which premiered in the Midnight Short Film Program at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Lyu is also the lead producer of the sci-fi short Europa, developed through the USC Entertainment Technology Center in collaboration with Sony Pictures. Europa has been recognized on the 2026 festival circuit, including HollyShorts Film Festival, FilmQuest, San Jose International Short Film Festival, etc. In recent years, Lyu has become a prolific director in vertical drama, directing micro drama series across an unusually broad range of genres, including YA, romance, comedy, sports, action, military, mafia, fantasy, and sci-fi. Her work ranges from F1 and street racing to hockey, football, werewolves, and futuristic worlds. Her vertical projects have generated billions of views across global platforms, with multiple titles reaching No. 1 and top-ranking positions.
