Feeling like he was in a dead-end job going nowhere in the latter part of the 90's, Brooks saw an article for an acting school, Weist Barron-Ryan of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and went for a screen test, deciding to give acting a try, which led him into the writing, directing, producing, acting, and stunt work he does till today.
