Matt is a composer, producer, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. He has composed music for film and known for the original score to Matchbox, the 2022 Guignol Film Festival 1st place winner and recipient of the Best Picture Award. With a wide array of skills, Matt's music weaves through a variety of genres given his lifelong passion for music and experiences as a professional.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Matt has performed in countless music venues across the east coast with some of the finest musicians in the area and in varying musical atmospheres. He was the drummer for the late and Grammy winning blues musician Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson from 2017 - 2022. He has been seen performing in orchestras such as the New Hampshire Philharmonic, jazz ensembles, and many differing rock bands to name a few.
Matt's deep passion for music however does not end with composing and performing, he also has a career in audio production where he serves many roles as a recording engineer, producer, mixing engineer, and mastering engineer. In 2022 alone, productions that Matt worked on garnered 100k in Spotify streams. Works to note include Zach Newbould from the 2022 season of the voice, rock band 19 Miles Per Hour and more.
Nowadays, Matt's hybrid studio features state of the art equipment including analog gear from top names in audio including SSL, Rupert Neve Designs, Antelope Audio, Retro, Fab Filter, Oeksound, and many more. In addition to a high end analog audio path, Matt's studio benefits from top quality source material featuring instruments from Gibson, Gretsch, Istanbul Agop, Fender, Marshall and microphones from Earthworks, JZ Microphones, Beyerdynamic and more.
