Biography

Marisabelle Grech is a European actress and up-and-coming director from Malta, fluent in English, Italian, and Maltese, with a strong command of French and German. With her Mediterranean charm and petite frame, she naturally fits Italian and French character archetypes.

As an actress, Marisabelle has starred in the psychological thriller Jena (2024), Last Minute (2024), and the award-winning Private Party (2023), which screened at the Malta Video Nasties Film Festival. Her credits also include a lead role in Cold Caller (2022) and supporting roles in Absinthe (2024), Kunsill Lokali (2024), and The Critic (2023).

As a director, she led Jena (2024), a psychological horror making its way through international film festivals. The film was awarded Best Original Music at the Prague Actors and Filmmakers Film Festival. Her latest short, Not Just Coffee (2025), premiered at the April Fool's Film Festival, where it earned First Runner-Up for Best Film. Her distinctive, visually poetic style first gained recognition with Private Party (2023), which won an award at Malta's Video Nasties Film Festival. Passionate about authentic storytelling, Marisabelle continues to craft compelling narratives both in front of and behind the camera.
