Biography

James Paxton was born and raised in Ojai, California. He studied British Film in London before studying at the Vincent Chase Workshop in Los Angeles, California. He starred in the USA Network drama series, Eyewitness, directed by Catherine Hardwicke and executive produced by Adi Hasak. He portrayed the character, Lukas Waldenbeck, alongside Julianne Nicholson and Tyler Young.

James Paxton portrayed a young version of the character John Garrett on several episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013), the same character that was originally played by his father Bill Paxton for six episodes beginning with T.A.H.I.T.I. (2014).

Spoiler: In Stolen (2020) he plays a younger version of John Garrett , the same role played by his father years earlier in the same show.
