Corey Ramsey is an author, screenwriter, producer, and filmmaker based in San Diego, California. A graduate of Rutgers University and a U.S. combat veteran, Ramsey's creative work spans science fiction, horror, fantasy, and suspense, often exploring themes of morality, human resilience, sacrifice, and the unknown.
Ramsey wrote and executive produced the award-winning short film Table for Two (2023), followed by the horror short Behind the Closed Door (2025), which he wrote and produced, and the suspense film Flight 4913 (2026). He also worked as a production assistant on the independent feature film Yardseling (2025).
Before entering filmmaking, Ramsey established himself as an author, writing seven books, including the four-volume Opportvnvs Adest science fiction and fantasy series and the Tales of the Unexpected horror and supernatural story collections. His literary work continues to influence his approach to filmmaking, particularly his interest in blending genre storytelling with larger questions about humanity and the nature of reality.
Prior to focusing on writing and filmmaking, Ramsey worked as an alternative school teacher and served as director of a nonprofit transitional housing program for young adults. His diverse professional and life experiences continue to shape his storytelling across literature and film.
