- Neal Matthews Jr. was born on October 26, 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. He was an actor, known for Country Music Holiday (1958), From Nashville with Music (1969) and Buffalo Gun (1961). He died on April 21, 2000 in Brentwood, Williamson Co., Tennessee, USA.
- Sang the lead part and was the arranger for the legendary vocal group "The Jordanaires"; also invented the 'Nashville numbering system' designation for musical notes that has become a standard in the recording industry - not only in Nashville. Also, along with ace guitarist Harold Bradley, helped bring the American Federation of Musicians trade union to Nashville in the early 1950s.
