Biography

Nelsy Cruz was born on August 6, 1982 in Las Matas de Santa Cruz, Dominican Republic. She died on April 8, 2025 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

She was the Governor of the Monte Cristi Province in the Dominican Republic at the time of her death.

She graduated in design from the Chavón School of Design.

Recently before her death, she had graduated from a diploma in oratory and mastery of ceremonies at the Dominican School of Oral Communication (Edoco).

She was appointed as the Governor of the Monte Cristi Provinceby Dominican President Luis Abinader in August 2020.

One of the mortal victims of the Jet Set nightclub roof collapse on 8 April 2025.
