Kabeer Daa (original name Prabhakar Sukhadeve), born on April 15, 1984, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, is an accomplished Indian actor, writer, and director, known for his impactful contributions to theatre and cinema. With academic credentials spanning Diploma in Civil Engineering, B.A., MSW, and an MFA in Drama, Kabeer Daa brings both intellect and artistry to his craft.
His journey began on the stage, where he earned widespread acclaim for his excellence in direction, acting, and playwriting. He has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards at state and national levels, including honors from theatre festivals in Patna, Delhi, Agra, and the Maharashtra Rajya Natya Spardha.
In 2006, he rose to national prominence as the winner of DD National's reality show "Kalakarz," judged by celebrated personalities like Amol Palekar, Priyadarshan, and N. Chandra. He trained under esteemed gurus like Akhilesh Khanna (NSD) and Rajak Shah, which further sharpened his artistic sensibilities.
Kabeer Daa made his cinematic debut with the film "31 December... Rakta Vina Kranti" (2012), serving as both writer and actor. The film earned nominations for national awards, establishing him as a promising new voice in Indian cinema.
He continued his work with the politically intense and socially reflective film "Red Mission: Ek Naxalwad" (2015), which remains unreleased. In 2022, he worked on "Sanvidhan Nirmate Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar," a biopic exploring the life and legacy of the Constitution maker, scheduled for release soon.
Currently, he is involved in "Ramaai," a historical film rooted in the cultural legacy of India, expected to further cement his standing as a passionate storyteller.
