Born and raised in Skopje, Macedonia, Maksim Ilkovski is the middle child of parents Janko Ilkovski - state legend as a journalist and host of the night show "Jadi Burek" for over 20 years, and Lidija Ilkovska - marketing and PR advisor at the Archaelogical museum of Macedonia, both of whom are also born and raised the same hometown (Skopje, Macedonia). His older brother Viktor is a computer science major while his younger sister Sara studies psychology.
In 2016 Maksim enters the International University - Europa Prima - Skopje as a Film & TV Directing major, and graduates with a masters degree in may 2023, earning the title: Master of Audiovisual Arts - Director
