- Lead trombonist in the Les Brown orchestra in 1940, later on variously with Harry James and Jimmy Dorsey, followed by work as a staff musician with MGM. Started up his own orchestra in L.A. in 1957 with arrangements by pianist Bob Florence. Recordings for Victor and Liberty well into the late 1960's, as well as engagements in Las Vegas and one-nighters in ballrooms and country clubs.
