Biography

Rolf Stommelen was born on July 11, 1943 in Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany [ex-German Reich]. He was an actor, known for Le Mans (1971), Formula 1 (1950) and Dalli Dalli (1971). He died on April 24, 1983 in Riverside Circuit, California, USA.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Auto Motor Und Sport (1970 (10 GPs)), Surtees (1971 (9 GPs)), Eifelland (1972 (8 GPs)), Brabham (1973 (4 GPs), 1976 (2 GPs)), Hill (1974 (4 GPs)-1975 (6 GPs)), Hesketh (1976 (1 GP)) and Arrows (1978 (9 GPs)). He started 53 Grands Prix, 1 Podium and 14 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 11th in 1970.

Teammates in Formula One were: Graham Hill, François Migault, Tony Brise, José Carlos Pace and Riccardo Patrese.
