Biography

Shirley Muldowney was born on June 19, 1940 in Burlington, Vermont, USA. She is an actress, known for Heart Like a Wheel (1983), Shirley Muldowney (2024) and American Nitro (1979). She was previously married to Rahn Stephen Tobler and John Arthur 'Jack' Muldowney Jr..

Won three World Top Fuel Championships (1977, 1980, 1982).

In 1984, Shirley was nearly killed in a drag race accident. It took her 18 months of therapy, and she returned to racing two years later.

Inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2005.
