And art is always like an antenna. And I think things happen first in the art then later in the world. And the movie is a witness and it feels as if I'm writing part of something. I think it's a movie, a document of an instant... and I don't know if matters all that much. Just as it isn't important for the work to remain. That's the heart of the matter. The work is done, it's concluded.

Here in New York, I don't identify myself with anything. I'm not Hispanic, I'm not black but I'm not white either. I'm not a queer, I'm very sure of my masculinity. It's silly, it feels like that story of "Who am I?" I have no idea, I really don't. I don't know what's my identity.
