Has six children (two with De Vries, two with Pensa and two with Gullit): daughters Felicity and Charmayne with De Vries, son Quincy and daughter Sheyenne with Pensa, and son Maxim and daughter Joëlle with Gullit.

One week before his wedding to Estelle Cruijff, he went to Italy where he reportedly paid Cristina Pensa millions so she would sign the divorce papers (which she still hadn't done up to then), allowing/freeing him to marry again.

Between 1981 and 1994, he played 66 matches for the Dutch national soccer team in which he scored 17 goals.
