Sarah-Jane Drummey is an Irish filmmaker based in New York. (2026) She is in post-production on her debut feature film La Vida Breve. Her short film 134 (2019) screened at over 20 international festivals, including BFI Flare, where it was selected for Five Films for Freedom, the global short film program presented by the British Council in partnership with the British Film Institute. Her feature project Some Kind of Atlantis was one of ten selected for development funding through Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland’s inaugural New Writing Scheme (2019).
Following her debut short Good Fight (2016), she was a finalist for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. Prior to directing, she worked for producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall and spent over a decade working as an actor.
