- Bill Aucoin was born on December 29, 1943 in Ayers, Massachusetts, USA. He was a producer and director, known for Flipside (1973), Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978) and NET Playhouse (1964). He died on June 28, 2010 in Aventura, Florida, USA.
- Said in a television interview that while managing Kiss in its salad days before the Kiss Alive album went multi-platinum and launched the band and Casablanca label into financial success, one month he charged $25,000 on his American Express card to acquire things the band would need. Normally, he charged $50 or so. Aucoin then got a phone call from American Express, expressing their concern about his high charges and asking if he'd be able to pay it. He told them he could, knowing that he didn't really have the money and hoping their next album would be successful. Thankful, Alive was.

- Has the dubious distinction of rejecting Gene Simmons' request to sign a band Simmons had discovered, to Kiss' parent label, arguing the band would never have any commercial success. The band: Van Halen.
