- Jordi Hurtado was born on June 16, 1957 in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He is an actor and writer, known for Dune (1984), Beverly Hills Cop (1984) and Total Recall (1990).

- Since his physical appearance has changed very little since he started his game show hosting career back in the mid-1980s, a running joke among Spaniards states that he is immortal. He finds it amusing, and as a reference he has even made a cameo in the time-traveling TV series The Ministry of Time (2015) as himself, which would imply he is a time traveler.
- The release of The Buggles "Video Killed the Radio Star"'s music video in Spain at mid-80s caused in Spaniards the running joke to confuse Jordi Hurtado with The Buggles' singer Trevor Horn due to their physical resemblance.
