Rebecca Gleeson was born in 1971 in Australia. She is known for Blue Heelers (1994), Newlyweds (1993) and The Eric Bana Show Live (1997). She has been married to Eric Bana since August 2, 1997. They have two children.

Mother, with Eric Bana of son Klaus (born August 1999) and daughter Sophia (born April 2002).

Her father is The Honourable Murray Gleeson, who served as the 11th Chief Justice of Australia from 1998 - 2008. As required by the constitution, he retired from the High Court when he reached his 70th birthday.

Her older sister is The Honourable Jacqueline Gleeson, who served as the Judge of the Federal Court of Australia from 2014 - 2021, and currently serves as the Justice of the High Court of Australia since March 1, 2021.
