Elle León Nostas is a non-binary Bolivian writer, director, and producer, and the founder of Aymara Films, an artist-led studio launched in 2024 and named in honor of their Aymara lineage.
Elle León’s recent credits include Alexander Ullom’s It Ends, produced under the Aymara Films banner and acquired by Neon out of SXSW for worldwide theatrical release on August 21, 2026, and Aman, which they co-wrote and produced, a co-production between the US, India, the UK, and France, premiering at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival. Current work includes the upcoming feature from Bolivian director Juan Pablo Richter (El Río, 98 segundos sin sombra), co-produced with Pucara Films; Outage, produced alongside Richard J. Bosner (Fruitvale Station, Black Bear, The Manor) of Blue Creek Pictures; and Sugar Apples in Monsoon, the debut feature from Mriganka Goswami and an India-UK-US co-production, on which Elle León is an executive producer.
Aymara Films produces film, television, and animation, with a partnership with Stellar Creative Lab, the animation studio behind Marvel Zombies, Marvel’s What If...?, and Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight. The company is now expanding into games and immersive work through Aymara Interactive. Backing the studio are private investors including Disney Legend Tony Anselmo, the animator and voice of Donald Duck since 1985.
Elle León has developed projects with Warner Bros., Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, Mandalay, Academy Award winner Michael Sugar’s Sugar23, and Emmy-nominated producer Masi Oka, among others. The slate spans scripted and documentary work across every genre, with more than 20 projects currently in development, production, and post, among them adaptations of Kelley Armstrong’s #1 New York Times bestseller Someone Is Always Watching and Adam Sass’s award-winning novel Surrender Your Sons.
Elle León speaks and teaches master classes on development, IP adaptation, and the art of the pitch at festivals and conventions including San Diego Comic-Con and, most recently, the inaugural Salar Film Festival.
