Samir Foco

Samir Foco is a Sarajevo-born British supervising sound editor, sound designer, composer, and audio post-production specialist whose work has spanned major international film and television productions. He gained wide recognition after winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Documentary or Reality Program for his work on Moonage Daydream (2022), Brett Morgen's acclaimed documentary about David Bowie that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022. Over the course of his career, Foco has contributed to a range of high-profile productions, including Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015), Alice in Wonderland (2010), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). He has also collaborated extensively with Academy Award-winning Bosnian filmmaker Danis Tanovic on projects such as Cirkus Columbia (2010), An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker (2013), which received the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, and Uspjeh (2019), the first regional HBO-produced series. Known for his expertise in sound editing, sound design, audio post-production, mixing, recording, and music production, Foco has built a distinguished career working across film, television, and documentary storytelling.
