Hunter was born in Texas, and he started tinkering with tape recorders and digital audio as soon as he could reach the buttons. He has designed the creative use of sound on shows such as Rick & Morty, Bojack Horseman, Big Mouth, and Robot Chicken, for clients such as HBO, Fox, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, MTV, Disney, Dreamworks, Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. He work has thrice been nominated for Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel awards.
