Green Jellÿ is known for Reality Bites (1994), Dumb and Dumber (1994) and The Flintstones (1994).

The band are notorious for wearing theatrical costumes and oversized cartoon style headmasks on stage and in their videos

The band formed in 1981 as 'Green Jello' but had to change their name in 1992 after the release of their video album, 'Cereal Killer', due to a lawsuit filed by the Kraft Foods company for copyright infringment of the 'Jello' brand name.

The accented 'ÿ' in the bands name is meant to be pronounced as an 'o' to represent their original name 'Green Jello'.
