Mini bio

  • Terri Jude Davis

Two-time Emmy nominated producer/director, Terri Jude Davis began her career in New York as an executive assistant in advertising at the Doyle, Dane, Bernbach Agency. Leaving the corporate life behind, she worked as a model's booker, a personal manager and fashion merchandising coordinator for Calvin Klein. Her life would change after she was recruited by the Clio Awards to become an associate producer for their international division.

After a season with the show, Terri relocated to Hilo, Hawaii to supervise the station's revamp and create original programming for KHBC-TV, a network affiliate. She was supervising producer for "Good Morning Hawaii, a field director for the morning news and the creator/director of the sketch comedy series "Shelf Life".

Island crazy, Terri moved back to Los Angeles and became a talent coordinator for Debbie Allen and developed a management company with Allen's husband Los Angeles Laker Norman Nixon and Raymond Katz. Next, there was a brief foray into feature advertising and publicity for Fries Entertainment but she was ready to return to production.

Terri jumped into the network talk show genre as a staff writer and producer for "John & Leeza", "Leeza" , "Marilu" and "The Mommies" for NBC. She left the talk circuit for interior design, as a show producer for the Discovery Channel's "Interior Motives" and "The Christopher Lowell Show" for which she received her two Emmy nominations. She served as a staff show producer and field director for HGTV's "Design on a Dime" from its premiere episode through all seven seasons as a top rated show.

Terri was introduced to digital media producing and directing an online competition for Quaker Oats with the DECA network. The digital realm inspired a new frontier in her creative life. Never afraid to take a risk Terri co-founded and launched the online lifestyle network AffordableCool.com and continues to develop, produce and direct programming for the site. As a brand entertainment and talent development creative Terri combines her advertising, marketing, television and live performance experience for corporate and regional brands.

Terri has always maintained her interest and work in music and fund-raising, having executive produced concerts for major charitable foundations. These concerts include the "Ixtapa All Star Concert" (benefiting the Rene Enriquez Foundation), "Manu Dibango and Hugh Masekela - Live at the House of Blues" and "In Their Eyes" featuring jazz greats Carl Anderson and Freddie Ravel (benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital).

Terri has served on several non-profit boards including the Southern California chapter of the Lymphoma Research Foundation. She has also served on the board of the Paul D. Martin Foundation and as president on the board of the Southern California Chapter of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. She produced "The Candidate" an award winning Rock the Vote PSA for MTV. Terri continues to produce special events and media projects that support charities and focus on multi-racial and socially conscious issues.
